Antique Japanese screen in sumi and colors on paper mounted in harimaze manner over gold leaf (kinpaki) applied paper, each panel featuring a study of a goshawk tethered to its perch with the distinctive knotting system of its owner, a detail in four panel folding format (byōbu) with paper hinges, textile border and wooden molding.
