Antique Japanese six panel folding screen (byōbu) in sumi and colors on gold leaf (kinpaku) applied paper on wooden core frames, with paper hinges, textile border and wooden molding, depicting a Red- Crested Japanese Crane (Tanchosuru), a pair of White-Naped Cranes (Manasuru) and a Rufous Turtle Dove (Kiji Bato) in and about a stand of timber bamboo (take) growing along a shoreline punctuated by iris (kakitsubata), peonies (botan) and variegated dwarf bamboo (sasa take).
