Antique Japanese screen painting from wall panels (shoheki-ga) in sumi, colors and flecks of gold leaf (sunago) on gold leaf (kinpaku) applied paper, a detail mounted as two panel folding screen (byōbu) with paper hinges, textile border and wooden molding, depicting a plunging waterfall in a narrow, rocky chasm with an arched tree and other plants clinging to the surrounding cliffs.
